Our brand new look

April 2018 Edition

We are delighted to share our new logo and name change to Mountbatten Program.

The brand roll-out signifies an exciting time for us at Mountbatten Program, as we plan to redevelop our website and grow the reach of the Program.

Our evolution from our Mountbatten crest to the shield below preserves this brand heritage whilst highlighting everything that our Program has to offer a young professional: the boat for travel; the sun for living; the book for working and studying.

If the Mountbatten Program transformed your life and career, get in touch to find out how you can help us spread the word further!

Kubi Fashion Week

Earlier this year, Chantelle Muneri (New York, March 2017) won a coveted spot to accompany alum and international brand marketing expert, Kubi Springer (New York, 2001) attend New York Fashion Week whilst she was still on the Program. Here is Chantelle's account of the occasion:

If someone had told me 365 days ago that in a years' time I would know exactly what it feels like to be running around from event to event during New York Fashion Week, I probably would have laughed in their face! But less than 365 since coming to New York, this has become my reality!

NYFW F/W 2018 saw me rubbing shoulders with some of the most influential personalities in beauty and fashion and one of those experiences was spent with none other than a fellow Mountbatten alum, branding and marketing genius Kubi Springer! I was fortunate enough to have been selected to attend a NYFW show front row with Kubi.

Having hailed a yellow cab in the pouring rain, I pulled up to the New York Fire museum; an unconventional but charming location for the show. Whilst waiting for the show to start, Kubi gave me the opportunity to go backstage and interview the designers (talk about being thrown in at the deep end!) and this was an amazing chance to come out of my comfort zone and experience New York beyond the usual bustle and corporate life. I independently prepped a few questions and ran them by Kubi before proceeding to speak to the designers and gain insight to their inspiration and collections. Going into the interview without any notes definitely was a challenge, but at least meant my shaking hands weren't caught on camera! Overall the show was an incredible experience in which I was able to see up and coming local designers showcasing their talents as Kubi was scouting for new designers to take back to England.

Since coming out to the US, I had launched my personal blog and YouTube channel which focused specifically on hair, beauty and fashion, so besides the glitz and glam, this was a great opportunity for me to experience the business aspect of the industry and potentially network with new contacts.

It's safe to say I definitely ended my year on an all-time high and will start plotting my return to New York ASAP!

Alum
of the Month

Henrietta Koomson
New York, Sep 2008

"I was lucky enough to have already secured a training contract before starting on the programme, and so I did the LPC, temped at Goldman Sachs in D&I (which I loved) and started as a trainee at my firm. I soon realised though that I so loved what I was doing at UBS (on Mountbatten), and have found my way back here... I moved back to New York (well, Newport) in August 2017 and recently got promoted at work and have made some great friends – and so I am pretty fulfilled right now! *shocker*
