What and where did you study before your Mountbatten internship? 
University of Warwick- Law and Business Studies 
 
What made you apply for the Mountbatten programme?  
I wasn't sure what to do after university and fancied a year working in NYC. I had friends that had done the programme and recommended it to me.   

Describe your sponsor company and your role within it. 
Small commercial/corporate law firm in midtown Manhattan and Princeton, NJ; I was the office manager/legal secretary.

What was the highlight/most memorable moment of your working experience during this year? 
The Christmas party at the Johnson & Johnson Estate followed by a limo home was pretty good.

What was the social highlight/most memorable moment during this year? 
Mardi Gras in New Orleans and playing football with the Manhattan Kickers.

Please share a little wisdom/philosophy that you acquired during your internship  
When I got home I realised not much changes in a year, so whilst you are away there's not point thinking about what you are missing out on back home, just enjoy the time away. 
 
If you could change anything about your internship, what would it be?  
The office was pretty quiet at times  

What happened after completing the year - what did you do next? 
I was offered a legal training contract with Dundas & Wilson LLP a few months after arriving home, attended Birmingham College of Law and then moved to London for my training.

Where are you now in your working life and what do you do? 
I qualified as a solicitor this month with Dundas & Wilson LLP.

Do you have any future plans that you would like to realise & what are they (career & social)? 
Ideally I would like to relocate every few years
