Current Role: Content Marketing Specialist Contractor at Mann Packing Company

My Alarm Goes off... I check emails for a bit from the comfort of my bed and then I get up shower and have a coffee. My office is my living room or a Starbucks or wherever I want! Just depends on my mood as to where I do my work for the day.
I'm Responsible For... all of the content marketing and social media for Mann's Fresh Vegetables. I also do social media management for a non-profit called Brighter Bites.

I Got The Job... I started as a part-time employee with Mann's almost 3 years ago. I had applied for one position but didn't have as much experience as another candidate, but they decided to hire us both. I was offered full-time work but my boyfriend was living in Canada and I wanted to have a flexible work schedule so I could visit often. This is also why I eventually became a contractor for them and was able to move to Canada.

My Typical Day... Lots of emails and research. Social media and digital marketing are constantly changing. You need to be up to the minute with the latest trends and offerings. Additionally, I'm always looking for fun ways to promote Mann's veggies which includes looking for recipes on Pinterest and on blogs.

The Culture Of My Workplace... The team at Mann's are awesome! I love all of my coworkers and consider them friends. They have always been very supportive of my lifestyle and are always sad to see me go when I return back to Canada after a week visiting the office.

My Most Memorable Work Moment... Recently I presented to several senior managers on the campaign metrics for a project I had been working on. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with my work and went out of their way after the meeting to each individually complement me on the work I had done.

My Role Models are... President Obama and Jeff Bezos. Ambition and future thinking, something I strive for.

The Most Challenging Part of My Job... Working remotely has its benefits but sometimes it can be challenging to stay focused and also to get work done with people who aren't used to working remotely.

The Best Part of My Job... Working with bloggers to create tasty recipes using our products!

After Work... I like to Netflix & Chill. If it's the weekend, we'll head out to our favorite local bar and have a few drinks with our friends.

Plan B: If I wasn't doing this, I would... be a swing trader or a travel blogger.
